Cities are dynamic entities, and, as enterprises, they are volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous. Taipei is a large city that is ever-changing; it displays complexity pertaining to both size and change. In this context, this case study demonstrates how an architectural approach has helped Taipei to achieve greater synergy between departments, interoperability through better information exchange, and more efficient digital services, all aligned to the vision of Boundaryless Information Flow™.
